Once the first coat has dried apply a second coat of Barrierbond Fast (2P) perpendicular to the first. This will ensure that complete coverage is achieved, and no air bubbles exist. A third coat may be required if imperfections are present in the membrane. A final inspection is recommended over surface to make sure no pinholes are evident prior to tiling. For optimum performance, a minimum of 1.3 litres/m² for horizontal surface and 1.3 litres/m² on vertical upturns and returns is recommended. Once waterproofing is completed allow Barrierbond Fast (2P) to dry for a minimum of 24 hrs at 20°C. It is recommended to flood test the area once dried. Final dry film build should be a minimum of 1.0mm on floors and 1.0mm on walls. Outdoor External Decks Note: External decks must be sound and built to the Local/ National standard. Screeds & Concrete must be sound and been left to cure for the relevant period. Screeds 7 days and Concrete 28 days. Ensure the area is protected from rain whilst the Barrierbond Fast (2P) is curing.
